Magazines are wonderful records of a particular moment in time. This copy of NME is a gem as it features two of my favourite people: Andy and Debbie and it was exhibited in Tate Modern's
Pop Life: Art in a Material World exhibition. It is a great example of Warhol playing on his own legacy while showing his desire to interact with the present. So here he creates a Warhol-style print, of the modern equivalent of Marilyn at the time, with
an Amiga at the Commodore Amiga product launch press conference in 1985. Retro! AND the mag is as old as I, being published in January 1986. I don't think you would get such a pairing in music mags these days. Read the interview below:
